Emporia Area Chamber of Commerce Trip to Austria and Germany

Informational Meeting Wednesday, June 25, 5:30 p.m.
The Emporia Area Chamber of Commerce is pleased to announce their 2014 tour to Austria and Germany – featuring nine days and seven nights along with Oktoberfest.

 

An informational meeting will be held, Wednesday, June 25, at 5:30 p.m. at the Trusler Business Center, 719 Commercial. Ron Metz with Central Holidays will be here that evening to present the tour.

 

During this trip, your home away from home will be Innsbruck, the capital of the Tyrol, located in the Alpine region of Austria. The city has 140,000 inhabitants and hosts one of the oldest universities in Europe, founded in the year 1562. Innsbruck is a superb destination, situated in an ideal location. It is best known for its rich cultural heritage and is only a stone’s throw away from Italy and Germany. This splendid city has been the host destination of the Olympic Winter Games twice, in 1964 and 1976. In Innsbruck, some 160 restaurants, cafes and bars, most of them in walking distance to the old town, offer traditional Trolean and Austrian specialties as well as international dishes.
