Chamber to Host Candidate Forum
EMPORIA, KAN. – The Emporia Area Chamber of Commerce Government Matters Committee and the League of Women Voters will host a candidate forum for the upcoming election.
Candidates running for Emporia City Commission and USD # 253 Board of Education have been invited to participate in a forum on Tuesday, October 17, beginning at 6:30 p.m., at the Flint Hills Technical College, 3301 W. 18th Ave.
Those running for Emporia City Commission include: Jon Geitz, Danny Giefer, Christian Keisler, Becky Smith, and Kelly Wade.
Candidates running for USD # 253 Board of Education include: Michael Crouch, Douglas Epp, Iona Moore, and Melissa Ogleby.
The election will be held on Tuesday, November 7, with early voting begins on Monday, October 23.
