Visit Emporia Awards Tourism Grants
Total Amount Awarded in 2022 = $12,800
Visit Emporia is pleased to announce we have awarded tourism grants to two applicants in the second half of 2022. Grants were awarded to:
- $500 awarded to Kansas Miss Amazing for Kansas Miss Amazing Amplify 2022
- $700 awarded to Flint Hills Technical College for Wrangler Friends and Family Festival
In February, Visit Emporia awarded $11,600 to ten entities. The $1,200 awarded this week brings the grand total for 2022 to $12,800. Tourism grants are offered by Visit Emporia to enhance and strengthen the positive economic impact of the tourism industry on our community.
Grant deadline dates have been adjusted slightly for 2023. The first deadline for applications is January 1, 2023. Second-round applications must be submitted by July 1, 2023. Applications can be submitted online at visitemporia.com.
Visit Emporia is a destination marketing organization promoting Emporia to potential visitors and serves as the
official Visitor Information Center for Emporia, offering brochures and maps of Emporia, surrounding areas, and the State of Kansas.
