Emporia Celebrates 2nd Annual Twinkies® Festival!

EMPORIA, KAN. – You may have heard . . . there is something sweet on the horizon!  We are less than 264 hours away (and counting) to the return of the Twinkies Festival.

Hostess Brands is a proud sponsor of the Twinkies Festival.  The Twinkies Festival will take place in Emporia on Saturday, July 19^th from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. We invite you to help Emporia celebrate the sweet confections that are made at the Hostess Brands flagship production facility in Emporia, Kansas.  The event will be held in the west parking lot of the Flinthills Mall (across from Hostess Brands)  Join in the Twinkie eating challenge; write a song about why you love Twinkies®, and sing in the song contest. New this year is a recipe contest.  Make an item that includes Twinkies in the recipe, and bring the item for judges to taste along with the recipe.   Meet Twinkie the Kid, and help us celebrate the expansion of the Hostess Brands flagship production facility in Emporia, Kansas!  A ribbon cutting ceremony will take place for the expansion on Friday, July 18th 2014.  See enclosed press release on that event.
