We are excited to have our Day in Topeka, next Thursday, September 9. This day provides a great opportunity to meet with leaders from various state departments and agencies.
This year we will meet at the Greater Topeka Partnership, located at 719 Kansas Ave. in Topeka. According to their policies, masks will be required and the number of people in our group will be limited to 12.
Chamber President and CEO Jeanine McKenna reports that, “We will begin our day at 9:00 a.m. with Blake Flanders, President of the Kansas Board of Regents; followed by Department of Agriculture Secretary Mike Beam; Kansas Department of Transportation Secretary, Julie Lorenz; and Lt. Governor and Secretary for the Kansas Department of Commerce, David Toland. I am also trying to get representatives from the other METL communities to meet us over lunch. The day will finish around 2:30.”
