Chamber to Host Legislative Dialogue

EMPORIA, KAN. – The Emporia Area Chamber and Visitors Bureau Government Matters Committee along with the League of Women Voters will host a Dialogue on Saturday, February 21, 2015, at the Presbyterian Manor of Emporia, 2300 Industrial Rd. Coffee and pastries will be available at 8 a.m. with the dialogue discussion beginning at 8:30 a.m. This Dialogue will be with State Legislators: Senator Jeff Longbine and Representatives Ron Highland, Don Hill and Peggy Mast.

Dialogues are a series of community political forums organized each year by the Chamber’s Government Matters Committee and the League of Women Voters.  All Dialogues are free to attend. This series of forums provide a great opportunity for the public to voice their concerns and ideas to their elected officials.

The Emporia Area Chamber of Commerce is a non-profit organization of 450 area businesses that join forces to accomplish collectively what no one business could do individually. The mission of the Chamber is to be proactive in creating an environment for business and community success. The organization is currently focusing on business advocacy and development, and leadership and membership development.
