Jane Reeble Recognized with Lifetime Achievement Award

The Emporia Area Chamber and Visitors Bureau is pleased to announce that Jane Reeble is the recipient of this year’s Lifetime Achievement Award.

Jane graduated from Emporia High School and the University of Kansas.

Jane Hanna Reeble and her late husband, Barney, have benefitted many Emporians and local organizations through the Reeble Foundation. The Reeble Foundation was established in 1996 by Jane and Barney with their love for the Emporia community in their hearts. Today, Jane Reeble in her continued direction of the Foundation exemplifies this dedication to support charitable and economical endeavors in the community with emphasis on children and education.

Barney Reeble established the Reeble Foundation to ensure their legacy would be committed to the benevolences they were interested in. After his death in 2005, Jane has carried on this commitment and established their fund with the Emporia Community Foundation.

Jane enjoys the responsibility in directing the Reeble Foundation and she takes an active interest in researching and evaluating the community organizations which are eligible beneficiaries.

The formal announcement of the Lifetime Achievement Award will be at the Emporia Area Chamber’s 121st Annual Meeting on Friday, January 26, 2018. The same evening, awards will be given to the Business of the Year, Volunteer of the Year, and Committee of the Year.
