Let’s Talk Business: July 23, 2021

Visit Emporia, the convention and visitors’ bureau side of the Emporia Area Chamber of Commerce, is currently accepting applications for Round Two of its 2021 Tourism Grant Program. Established to enhance and strengthen tourism’s positive economic impact on our community, the tourism grants are designed to assist with starting up and/or growing an event or project. Priority will be given to applications that are distinctive, create a positive energy, push average boundaries, and most closely match the mission and goals of Visit Emporia.

Guidelines and applications for the program are available at www.visitemporia.com/tourism-grant-guidelines. Funding for this program comes from the Transient Guest Tax, also known as a hotel or bed tax, which is collected when guests stay in our local hotels and certain other lodging facilities. Applications are reviewed by, and determinations made by, the Emporia Convention and Visitors Advisory Board. Deadline for applications is August 1.

New Chamber member Laser Tech Services is offering free samples of printer toner and ink for local businesses, to celebrate opening their Emporia location at 504 Commercial St. Contact Laser Tech Services via email at lasertech@onlasertech.com or telephone 785-539-8011 and provide them the following information to receive your free sample: Company Name, Company Contact Name, Contact Email and Telephone, Brand and Model number of printer.
