New Member Beacon For Hope Suicide Prevention & Ribbon Cutting Event

EMPORIA, KAN. – The Emporia Area Chamber and Visitors Bureau welcomes new Chamber Member Beacon for Hope Suicide Prevention.  Join their ribbon cutting celebration on Thursday, July 25, at 11:30 a.m. at 527 Commercial Street.

Beacon for Hope is a suicide prevention 501© (3) non-profit dedicated to linking our community together through education, resources, support, and hope for those who have been affected by suicide.

Founded in 2017 by Melissa Kurtenbach, Beacon for Hope serves as tribute to the memory of her sister lost to suicide in 2006.  As Emporia’s only local suicide prevention non-profit, 100% of donations stay local within the community to provide life saving educational materials and opportunities for community members to participate in formal suicide prevention training.

The Emporia Area Chamber encourages you to do business with Chamber members. The previously listed company has recently made an important investment in their business by joining the Chamber.
